Correction® pocket options

2-pocket system

One long correction pocket on each side.

The pad is supplied with six shims: three for each pocket.

6-pocket system

Three correction pockets on each side:

• One front pocket
• One middle pocket
• One rear pocket

The pad is supplied with 18 shims: three for each pocket.

8-pocket system

Three correction pockets on each side, plus one long pocket in each detachable base panel.

The pad is supplied with 24 shims: three for each pocket.

Each pocket can accommodate up to six shims. Additional Rio Pecos shims are available separately.

Quilt, quilt sheen and velvet uppers are available at no additional cost. Your chosen binding colour is also included.

Standard piping costs £14.30 per piping.

The £65 crystal piping option includes the crystal piping and the two standard pipings required to border it—one on either side.

Sheepskin colours

For pale-coloured horses, we recommend choosing a lighter sheepskin colour, as darker dye can occasionally transfer when the wool becomes wet.

Some fading of the wool’s surface may also occur. This can be affected by the individual composition of the horse’s sweat and is not considered a manufacturing fault.

These are expensive pads, so complimentary fitting and pad-use advice is available with your purchase to help ensure that you order the correct pad.

Delivery and returns

Custom-made orders

Custom-made Mattes pads are manufactured specifically in your selected size, colours and configuration. The estimated delivery time is approximately 4–8 weeks.

Once your order has been confirmed and submitted to Mattes, it cannot normally be changed, cancelled or returned because you have changed your mind.

If we agree, at our discretion, to accept the return of a correctly supplied, non-faulty custom-made product, a 25% restocking charge will be deducted from the refund.

In-stock products

Mattes products purchased from our available stock may be returned in accordance with our standard returns policy, provided they are unused, clean and returned in their original condition and packaging.

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged or differs from your confirmed order.
