- We have years of experience helping clients choose which pad is required, and how best to use it. This is due to using them regularly during saddle fittings for years, with great results, we have a wealth of practical experience in their usage.
These are one of TWS biggest sellers! These pads are amazing, and well worth the extra money as they do the job of many pads in one.
TWS has had extensive experience with using these pads in the fitting of saddles, and making horses comfortable and able to do the job we require of them. Therefore, we can offer the back up help to help the customer understand how best to use these pads to maximise their horse's comfort.
Western saddlepad - Square base pad with Correction® system is made with 100% genuine sheepskin with the addition of wear leathers. The sheepskin panels are detachable from the quilt.
This product incorporates our correction® system in the following pocket choices:-
6 pocket = 3 pockets on each side - 1 pocket at the front, 1 pocket in the middle and 1 pocket at the rear on each side.
2 pocket = 1 long pocket on each side.
The 2-, and 6- pads are supplied with 3 shims per pocket. The pockets can fit up to 6 shims per pocket.

Full Pad - A to B - 75cm, C to D - 36cm, G to H - 80cm

You can choose from a quilt top, sheen top (thicker fabric), or a velvet top (thicker fabric) - all at no extra cost.
If you have a pale coloured horse, please be advised to choose the lighter colour sheepskins, as on occasion the dye has run when wet.
Fading of the wool's surface is also possible. This is due to the composition of the horses’ sweat, which can be different from horse to horse.
If you wish to place a custom order, please order through the website and email me your binding & piping colour choices. With the California, Performer or Square pad you can also choose to have a logo or text - please email for details.
Please see the options here for the various colours available: cotton quilt, sheepskin, binding and piping. You can choose a quilt (or velvet) colour, the wool colour, a binding colour, and up to three piping colours. Please email your choices to: info@western-saddler.co.uk and we will get back to you with a quote. The prices on this site are for pad with any colour quilt and fleece and any colour binding. Velvet costs no extra and pipings cost £11.50 each (you can have up to 3).
